Fanc-ista Eats: Birthday Celebrations Part II with Pomp and Circumstance

Fancy Nanc-ista
My birthday month is almost over guys; can you believe that this is the last week of October already? And these months will just keep flying by and soon the year of 2016 will be over! Ah!!
If you missed my part I of birthday celebrations, you can check it out here; it was a good one and definitely a great kick off to one of many birthday celebrations! Yup, the one of many, hehe. That same weekend, I hosted a wonderful Sunday birthday brunch at Old Town’s cutest brunch spots, Pomp and Circumstance with some of my favorite blogger friends; Lena of Feline Creatures, Joanna of Grace in Style, her sister, Jessica Hui and Fanny of Lafreecaine.
Brunch is the best way to catch up with good friends, enjoy great food and celebrate any kind of event; and Pomp and Circumstance was the perfect place for it. Luckily, at the time of this event summer weather was still in full effect, and with the nice outdoor patio area the restaurant offers, it was the perfect day to host a birthday brunch!
My friends and I started off with some refreshing cocktails called ‘The Shakedown’ that were served in their signature 24 oz brass pineapple cup, which was super cute!!!
These drinks were so appealing, photogenic and definitely helped to quench our thirst!
If you are really looking to get your brunch on, the restaurant also offers unlimited mimosas for 90 minutes for an additional $20, with flavors including grapefruit, orange, strawberry and peach.
The brunch menu is very short and sweet but offers all the main brunch dishes, which was just right.
As a group we ordered a bunch of dishes to try out…
Pomp Burger
Review: One of my favorites! So juicy, it’s one of those burgers that has great flavor and doesn’t really even need ketchup or any condiments! 🙂 The dish is served with a huge side of chips, which were also a great side.
Grilled Chicken Sandwich

French Toast

Lobster Benedict with a side of potatoes
Review: The table loved this dish, super flavorful and tasty! On top of that these potatoes were bomb!! So gooddddd. 🙂

Lobster and Truffle Omelette
Review: Another table favorite! Gotta love lobster!
Overall, we had an amazing brunch, so if you find yourself in Old Town area in Chicago, and are looking for a nice spot for brunch or even dinner (their dinner menu looks amazing!!), you should check this place out! Pomp and Circumstance is located on 1400 North Wells Street, Chicago Illinois 60610. Afterwards, you can continue your #SundayFunday on some of Old Town’s infamous bars down the block! 🙂
Thanks to my gorgeous blogger babes for making my birthday weekend special! <3
I will be sharing with you more delicious Chicago food spots in the next week, so keep a look out! 🙂
Until next time,
xo, Nancy
