Minutes away from iconic food favorites such as Portillo’sand Giordano’s Deep Dish Pizza; and an easy walk to a variety of Chicago’s popular bars/nightclubs and shopping, Hotel Felix is situated in the beloved heart of downtown Chicago. If you’re looking for a simple, standard and reasonably priced hotel; Hotel Felix is the spot to stay!

As we walked into this hotel; we were immediately welcomed by the Bell Hop, who then offered to hold our luggage until we were able to check in. The hotel lobby was clean and simple. The hotel itself features free WiFi, spa, business center and fitness center. It also offers complimentary coffee every morning.

The room was a bit tinier (but with the price so cheap, it’s still a steal); it reminded me of the hotel rooms in New York; which are typically smaller. The room offered bottled waters of Voss; which were $3 each. If you don’t want to spend $3 on a small bottled water; there is luckily a Walgreens or Whole Foods Market 2 minutes away from the hotel. The hotel also offers room service, which you can order from the restaurant downstairs called Troquet.

While staying at the Hotel Felix, we noticed that the walls were also pretty paper-thin, as we were easily able to hear the room directly above us. Though the rooms were small and not really sound proof, the staff was friendly.

Overall, I would say, Hotel Felix is a hotel to recommend if you need a place to stay downtown and don’t really want to break your bank to do so. The rooms may be small; but if you’re in Chicago, you really shouldn’t be in your hotel room anyway? With steps away from iconic shops on Michigan Avenue, endless favorite food spots and popular nightclubs and bars; Hotel Felix is easily recommended.

Hotel Felix is located on 111 West Huron Street, Chicago, IL 60654

All opinions, as always, are my own.

This wraps my Chicago trip!

Where should my next destination be?

Xoxo,
