Weekend Getaway at Oceanpoint Ranch

Sometimes all I ever need is a quick relax-cation weekend away from my madness life in LA. It’s been officially three years now that I have lived in this beautiful, sunny and hustling city; and though now I finally feel like it’s home, it’s nice to just get away – even if it’s only a few hours from LA.

I recently was contacted by a PR agency to see if I’d be interested in visiting a boutique luxury hotel called Oceanpoint Ranch. Just a 3-4 hour drive away from Los Angeles lies a hidden gem along the lush coast of Cambria. Oceanpoint Ranch is the perfect oasis for those wanting to take a quick trip away from home. I have been traveling all month long and as I get ready to head to my biggest trip this month yet, I decided to book a weekend stay this past weekend.

Our experience:

We arrived late that night around midnight. It took us approximately 3.5 hours from Brentwood to drive up there. The front desk lady, Hollie, was there to help check us in. She was very sweet, warm and extremely accommodating. She provided me with pamphlets of the hotel and things to do in the city, as well as wine coupon cards and some homemade cookies the chef at their kitchen makes daily.

Our room was super cozy-looking! We stayed in their double queen room; we didn’t do much that night besides go through what we planned on doing this weekend – was so ready for bed by then! The bed was my absolute favorite part.. not only was it super chic (the gingham headboard, my favorite!) but it was seriously sooo comfy – it was hard not to fall asleep right away, but definitely hard getting out of bed, haha.

Most of the time spent in Cambria was spent at our cozy hotel. If you want to have a relaxing, quiet, stay-in weekend, Oceanpoint Ranch is the spot to do so! It offers many activities and amenities for guests to enjoy such as a year-round heated pool, a game room, and an open fire pit for after dinner s’mores. In addition to that, you can enjoy an intimate picnic along shores of Moonstone Beach, which is only minutes away by foot from the actual hotel, as well as dine in at their restaurant, The Canteen, which offers guests breakfast and dinner options.

We took part of all it had to offer; and it was nice to finally unwind and relax on vacation (which is never the case!!).
While visiting, it’s definitely a must to visit the renowned Hearst Castle, stop by the Elephant Seals in San Simeon, or enjoy fine wineries all around town.
Overall, we enjoyed our stay, it was definitely a much needed break from all the chaotic-ness my life has been lately! Definitely a gem to stay in whilst in Cambria, CA.
