Fancista Eats x The Pub at Chino Hills

Fancy Nanc-ista
Happy Friday! How was everyone’s week? Is it just me, or did it feel like just yesterday was Labor Day weekend? How did everyone spend their holiday?

Most of you may know besides fashion, I love food, I mean… Who doesn’t? When I got to LA, I started a food Instagram, FancistaTravels, if you’re not already following me… You should! I have to admit; I have been slacking lately, but will post more of my foodie adventures soon!

Anywho, I spent my Labor Day catching up with one of my college friends from Chicago, and he and I had the opportunity to try some amazing food and drinks at The Pub at ChinoHills.

The one thing about this place is that it’s kind of hidden and away from the “LA” area, I was iffy at first to make the trip, but afterwards my belly and I both agree it was all worth it. J

First things first: The Pub has many great options for beer; however if you are like me, and are not so much of a beer fan, this place has got the tastiest cocktails that you can’t miss. Some of the ones we tried were the Strawberry Basil Margarita and the Cucumbre. Both were amazingly good, but I have to say the Cucumbre was definitely the most refreshing (it was much needed on a 100 degree day)!

While we were looking through the menu (by the way is HUGE), we received a little popcorn treat that is served to each table complimentary. The menu, yes, is huge and luckily, before coming to the restaurant I had done my research, and found a few popular items that the crowd were really raving about, and wanted to try them out.

Some of the popular items were..the Bacon wrapped hot dog, poutine fries and the glazed honey sriracha wings.. All sound delicious! In addition to that, we ended up also trying their fried pork belly bites, spinach dip, duck chorizo tacos, buffalo burger and shrimp mac n cheese.

And last but not least… (save the best for last!!), dessert! I honestly could not eat at this point, but definitely had to try Heath bar brownie a la mode and the cookie sandwiches. A little disappointed that the cookie was not a regular chocolate chip cookie, but was a chocolate one instead, (but who is really complaining?).

Overall, everything was DELICIOUS, and wishing they would deliver all the way to Glendale. James and I decided our most favorites and would totally come back for were…

Bacon Wrapped Hot Dog (seriously, the tastiest hot dog I ever had. Perfectly seasoned, with the right components)

Poutine Fries (I could eat these all day! So goooood)

Shrimp Mac n’ Cheese (this could be my favorite? The shrimp was perfectly cooked, and the best part was it wasn’t as heavy as other mac and cheese plates, it was light and just right)

Buffalo Burger (Super juicy, at this point I couldn’t really eat it but took it home, and still remained juicy and flavorable for leftovers!)

Pub food can be a hit or miss, but this place has got your mouth drooling for more! If you ever find yourself heading down highway 71, you should make a pit stop at The Pub at Chino Hills! The Pub is located at 5771 Pine Ave. Chino Hills, CA.

Don’t forget to follow me on Instagram and my Foodie Insta for more pictures. I just moved here, so I am always up for trying new places! What are some of your “must-have” food places to try here in LA? Comment below and let me know!

Have a great Friday loves!
