Waikiki Resort Hotel Review: Ocean Views, Amazing Service & Complimentary Perks
If you’re planning a trip to Oahu and looking for a hotel that offers comfort, location, and thoughtful perks, the Waikiki Resort Hotel checks all the boxes. I recently stayed here during my time in Honolulu and had such a relaxing and enjoyable experience that I couldn’t wait to share it with you.
From beachfront access to complimentary cultural activities, here’s everything you need to know about staying at the Waikiki Resort Hotel.
My Waikiki Resort Hotel Review

The location of the Waikiki Resort Hotel is honestly unbeatable. It’s just steps away from the beach, literally a 2-minute walk and you’re on the sand. You’re also within walking distance to shops, restaurants, and all the Waikiki action, but the hotel still feels like a peaceful escape when you need downtime. One of the biggest standouts for me was the staff. Everyone at the Waikiki Resort Hotel was so warm, friendly, and helpful throughout my stay. From check-in to breakfast to activity hosts, their service made everything seamless and welcoming. Also, they gifted me some goodies for my birthday, very sweet of them.

Room Details
I stayed in their Partial Ocean View Room, which had a spacious layout, two beds, and a private balcony with both ocean and city views that I enjoyed every single day. Waking up to the morning light and catching sunset colors in the evening was such a treat. The room was clean, comfortable, and had everything I needed to relax and recharge.

Amenities + Dining
At the Waikiki Resort Hotel, they offer a great mix of thoughtful amenities – it’s a all-in-one type of hotel.

+ A pool and sundeck for lazy afternoons
+ An on-site fitness center and game room
+ Water refill stations throughout (yes to sustainability!)
+ Surf Bar Waikiki in the lobby for casual bites and drinks
And a complimentary breakfast at Ilima Café, where I had their fresh fruit bowl and pancakes (both delicious!). The café team was so kind and attentive every morning.

But what really made this stay unique were the complimentary activities offered throughout the week.
They include:
- Mat Pilates
- Beach Yoga
- Ukulele Classes
- Lei Making
- Sunset Sound Healing
- Hula Lessons
I joined in on the beach yoga and ukulele class, and both were such a relaxing, fun way to start and end the day.
