Aqua Oasis Waikiki Review: A Boutique Stay in Honolulu
Photos Taken at Aqua Oasis
This Aqua Oasis Waikiki review shares my experience staying at a peaceful, modern hotel perfect for a desert getaway.
The last 3 nights of my one week stay in Honolulu, I stayed at Aqua Oasis.
A block away from the bustling streets of downtown Waikiki is this cute intimate boutique hotel called Aqua Oasis, a budget-friendly hotels in Waikiki. I previously was staying at Ilikai Hotel – which was also a really nice (but more pricy) stay.
My Aqua Oasis Wakiki Review
From previously staying at two massive hotel spaces, Aqua Oasis Honolulu was a breathe of fresh air. You walk in through a path surrounded by plants (almost feels like a mini tropical jungle). At the front desk, their manager Clifton was working (I had met him the day before and he was very nice), he greeted me and quickly checked me in – luckily my room was ready for an early check-in that day.
Clifton helped me with my luggage and lead me to my room. There are two towers in this boutique hotel – one tower, which is at the front of the hotel, offers standard rooms, the other tower offers junior and one-bedroom suites.
Room Details:
My room was very spacious, and simple – I stayed in their Junior Suite room, which featured a 1 king sized bed (option 2 double beds), mini-fridge and bar sink. My room also had a nice lanai (balcony) with city views and the outside courtyard.
The rooms are more traditional and run on a vintage style setting; and though the resort doesn’t offer luxurious amenities like the other two resorts I stayed at during this trip; I will admit you can’t beat the central location. And if you are looking for an affordable, less busy and spacious room, this is the perfect resort to stay while in Waikiki.
Hotel Dining:
Aqua Oasis Honolulu offers complimentary breakfast daily from 7 AM – 9 AM. However no other dining is available.

Though, why dine in when you’re walking distance to MANY amazing cuisine Waikiki has to offer. Read all about My Ultimate Guide to Food, Drinks, and Hidden Gems of Honolulu to find out where you should be dining in at the next time you’re in town.
Hotel Amenities:
Swimming Pool
Enjoy a quick dip in Aqua Oasis’s intimate plunging pool. They also provide a sun deck and lounge chairs to relax after a day spent shopping or laying by the beach.
Garden / Smoking Area
If you are a smoker, you can come to this little corner of the hotel to smoke and relax.
Nearby Spots:
Aqua Oasis Honolulu is located in a very central area. So much to eat, drink, shop, you name it. Read all about the best restaurants and bars you need to check out in my latest post.
They also offer free shuttle services available to and from Ala Moana shopping center (ask the front desk about it).
Was Aqua Oasis Waikiki Worth It?
Overall, this Aqua Oasis Waikiki review shows why it’s a solid option for travelers looking for a convenient and affordable Waikiki stay. The Aqua Oasis has very welcoming and friendly staff, and from the amenities to the overall simplicity, Aqua Oasis was a relaxing experience. For travelers looking for a small, less busy and affordable resort, this resort is recommended.
It’s an excellent location surrounded by various shopping and restaurants, and only a 10 minute walk to the beach.
Aqua Oasis is located on:
320 Lewers Street
