So what can you do to beat the stress levels down and find a little bit of breathing room?
Meditate
Meditation is one of the best ways to reduce stress levels and feel more relaxed. Why? Because it forces you to focus on your breathing. And, when you are focusing on your breathing, you are more likely to let the thoughts floating through your mind go.
Not only that, but even the act of one big deep breath can reduce stress, anxiety, and a racing heart.
Rest & Sleep
Rest and sleep are different – but both are vital for feeling healthy. Rest gives us the chance to do something not related to work or running around after others, and it is time just for ourselves. Sleep is the best way for our bodies and minds to get some time off and to make sure that we are healing, repairing and our cells are getting the care that they need.
Taking time to rest isn’t always easy – most of the time you’re going to need to force that time to happen. Make sure that in each week, and if you can, every day there is a period of time that you don’t have any demands on you and your time and you can relax for a while.
