Summer Sailing
The one thing I love about summer in the Chi is being by and on the lake. Today was a wonderful day for a boats parade at Navy Pier, as more than hundreds of sailors participate in Chicago Yacht Club Race to Mackinac. If you aren’t familiar, it’s a race that’s held once a year in the summer, and boats race to the Mackinac Island. Michigan Avenue Magazine and Veuve Cliquot hosted a boats parade gathering at the east end of Navy Pier, it was a very nice event!
As you can tell already, I love wearing colors and patterns, and this top reflects my style perfectly! I haven’t shopped at Akira in a long time, but decided to take a peek in there the other day, to find this gem on sale for $10! The colors to the top looked well with this new Rebecca Minkoff purse I recently purchased! It’s nice and small, but can fit a lot of essentials. What’s great about the purse is that it’s versatile, it can be worn as a shoulder bag, a clutch and a crossbody purse. I love it! Since I was already wearing a lot of loud colors, I decided to tone it down and wear nude sandals. And to finish it off with a fishtail braid!
