Darko Lukac, a Croatian guy living in Vienna Austria, currently in school to get his masters degree in pharmacy. Darko is the blogger behind Darko Lukac Fashion, which his blog’s focus is about menswear (preppy, dapper, and dandy looks).
1) What made you want to start your blog and how would you describe your style in 3 words?
My whole life I was pretty much into fashion and I have always wanted to create a blog, but I didn’t know anything about how to create a website and how it all works. So one night, my friends and I went out, and all of them were saying, “Darko, why don’t you have a fashion blog? You have to create one!” That same night, I went home and started googling all the things I need to know about creating layouts for a blog, how it all works, and after a few hours my blog was live. So I would say thank you Jelena and Nikolina for motivating me.
My style in three words: Preppy, Dapper, and Dandy
2) Who is your fashion inspiration?
I’m really into 60’s and 80’s fashion – I always say I can’t get enough of dapper, preppy, and dandy looks. I love timeless chic, elegant, and conservative look.
3) What’s the one wardrobe essential you can’t live without?
I would say shoes – especially loafers.
4) What is your most favorite thing about blogging?
I really love to take pictures, share them with the world, and to see the reaction. It’s really fun.
5) What is a quick fashion tip or advice for men?
Find your own style and work on it. It doesn’t have to be something that is currently trendy, just be yourself and people will appreciate that.
6) Do you have any favorite stores or brands?
I actually do. I spend most of the my time at Zara; I can find everything I want in there. I also love Ralph Lauren; it gives me that Preppy vibe. Gucci was always one of my favorite brands but now I’m not so sure about it, they are going a totally different direction. Salvatore Ferragamo, if you are going for chic timeless, and if you are going for a suit look, then go to Ermenegildo Zegna. And of course Jimmy Choo shoes.
