Hotel Review – Novotel Melbourne on Collins
My first trip back to Melbourne since seven years ago, and it feels amazing to stay in such a central location.
Located on Collins Street, everything is close by – shops, restaurants, public transportation, and more! If you’re visiting Melbourne for the first time or just like being in the center of it all, the Novotel Melbourne on Collins hotel might be for you! MY EXPERIENCE
Having worked with Accor hotels in my travel career, I knew Novotel Melbourne on Collins would not disappoint. You can find the hotel by going up to the 3rd floor for reception, and the concierge workers can direct you to the elevators.
The check-in process was seamless, and I was able to check in earlier than expected. At first glance, the ambiance is very contemporary and businesslike. The place is great for all types of travelers, including business travelers, families, and solo travelers (such as myself).
Room:
I stayed in their Deluxe Room King Bed and it was a good size for 1-2 people. The very comfortable bed, the large desk, and the city view were some of my favorite features of the room.
Hotel Dining & Cocktails:
On the third floor of Novotel Melbourne on Collins, there is a restaurant overlooking Melbourne’s iconic Collins Street. In-room dining is also available.
LANE RESTAURANT & BAR
At Lane Restaurant and Bar, you can enjoy authentic Australian dishes in a contemporary setting. A full buffet breakfast is available daily, as well as a la carte dinner specialties. View more info here.

Open all day for light meals, and drinks. They offer happy hour cocktails here.

Enjoy a heated indoor swimming pool and jacuzzi.

On the same floor as the pool, you can find a fully equipped gymnasium.
OVERALL RATING
The Novotel Melbourne on Collins was a great place to stay. Located in a central area, it was a great way to start my Melbourne trip! My favorite thing about the room was how comfortable and cozy it was – it was a great place to wind down after a long day of exploring.
