Hotel Review: Hard Rock Hotel London
Earlier this month I last minute booked a trip to London! I have never been to London before, let alone, Europe! I was ecstatic for the new adventure!
My first few nights I stayed at the one and only Hard Rock Hotel in London — this was my first time staying in a Hard Rock Hotel, so I was excited to finally experience this worldwide hotel chain.
MY EXPERIENCE
Hard Rock Hotel London is located in Marylebone, right across from the Marble Arch and in the center of all your shopping needs. For someone who has never been to London before, I think this is the perfect place to be situated!
Arriving at the Hard Rock, I remember thinking, WOW, this is so beautiful! You basically walk into an open-spaced lobby, decked out in gold decor and bright colored furniture with nonstop tunes. Home to rock music and rock musicians, you are guaranteed a fun and glamorous themed vibe throughout the hotel.
The customer service is also on point – from check-in to check-out, everyone was super welcoming and accommodating.
I was lucky enough to experience their Rock Royalty program during my stay.
Rock Royalty can vary by hotel but it essentially means:
- Priority access to events
- Access to their lavish lounge (featuring unlimited beverages (alcoholic/non-alcoholic), breakfast, snacks all day, and personal assistants)
- Extra perks in your room
Any guests who choose to upgrade their room have access to the Rock Royalty program. See more details here.
In my experience, I’d say it is DEFINITELY WORTH IT! As you are treated with VIP status and everything is basically included.
Room:
I initially stayed in their Rock Royalty King which featured two separate rooms (a living room and bedroom), 1.5 bathrooms, and general room amenities. My room overlooked the Marble Arch and was super spacious! Due to some issues with the AC/heating in my room, I had to change rooms (which by the way, they were super accommodating), and moved to their Rock Royalty Junior Suite. The Junior Suite was much smaller than the King-sized room, however, since I was traveling solo, I much rather preferred this room over the other. It felt more comfortable and cozy for me personally.
Both rooms still featured similar amenities with a gorgeous city view. The only differences were the Jr. Suite was in one big room and had one bathroom.
Hotel Dining and Cocktails:
Hard Rock Cafe Oxford Street
From breakfast to lunch and dinner, grab a bite to eat at their Cafe on the first floor. Hard Rock Cafe serves classic American cooking served with a modern British twist. Also, make sure to keep a lookout for their weekly live music performances!
Had both breakfast and dinner here during my stay, and food was amazing! Not to mention, had a very attentive waitress!
Book a spot here.
GMT Bar
Soak up the Hard Rock atmosphere and enjoy a nice cocktail at their lobby bar.
Cocktail Bar in Marylebone
If you want to change up scenery, head to their other cocktail bar next.
In-room dining is also an option with a variety of dishes to choose from.
Hotel Amenities:
Rock Royalty Lounge
Like mentioned above, Rock Royalty is a great perk to consider when staying at this hotel. When you upgrade to one of their Rock Royalty rooms you’ll get all the perks and privileges including access to their lavish lounge. Read more about it here.
Fitness Center
Get your fitness on while staying at the Hard Rock – featuring basic gym amenities to all hotel guests.
Rock Shop
Located on the first floor, next to the hotel’s entrance, you can find the Rock Shop. Discover and shop signature pieces during your stay.
Nearby Spots:
Situated in the central part of London, there are many walk-able or easy access spots to check out. Check out my latest Travel Guide to London for more information.
OVERALL RATING
From check-in to check-out, my experience was phenomenal! Everyone was so sweet and accommodating – and were very prompt with the issue I had regarding my AC/heater. Not only was my overall customer service amazing, but the hotel itself was in a great location as well as it delivered a clean, and comfortable atmosphere. If you’re visiting London, I highly recommend you check this hotel out!
