So I finally made it to Mexico and it was a wonderful and memorable time! I went with three of my girlfriends and our trip was filled with endless food, drinks and a whole lot of tequila!
We stayed at the beautiful and intimate Casa Velas Boutique Hotel in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico – which is an exclusive adults-only resort. The hotel is privately gated, with lush tropical gardens around every corner and very accommodating and welcoming staff.
Upon arrival, I was greeted with a light back rub as the staff warmly checked me in and brought my bags up to the room.
This entire hotel was gorgeous! The hotel lobby had a peaceful and ‘zen’ kind of vibe, with large candles lighting up the room and water surrounding the middle area, it was a pleasant room to walk into. The outdoor area was very pretty with amazing views; from afar I could see the pool area – with chic cabanas, a swim-up bar and an oversize swimming pool.
So I traveled with one of my good blogger friends, Jennifer of Cranberry Tantrums and we stayed in separate rooms. We both had the pleasure of staying in their Grand Class with Jacuzzi Suite. Each room was very spacious, with a king size bed, full mini fridge, Jacuzzi and beautiful views of the golf course and garden.
Casa Velas offers luxurious dining such as the Emiliano Restaurant located right next to the outdoor pool and just 5 minutes away is their private Ocean Club which is accessible to all Casa Velas’ guests. The Emiliano Restaurant features gourmet Mexican cuisine, while the Ocean Club serves an Asian-inspired cuisine. Both restaurants were delightful and absolutely delicious. While this is an all-inclusive hotel, you can also order food poolside, as well as room service 24/7.
What’s so unique about this hotel is that every night they offered activities and events to partake in, you barely have to even leave the hotel during your stay! Each day and season is something different; from cooking classes to tequila tastings and yoga classes; it was definitely a memorable experience!
The hotel also offered other activities such as golf privileges, access to their fitness center and spa services. At the very last day, Jennifer and I had the opportunity to experience their spa, where we enjoyed a 50 minute massage and then relaxed in their Jacuzzi, sauna and steam rooms.
The first few days we spent relaxing by the pool, drinking pina coladas (can’t tell you how many we had!) and soaking up the sun as much as possible. One of my favorite spots in the resort was at their Ocean Club. The hotel offers complimentary shuttle to and from Casa Velas Ocean Club. This private club was absolutely stunning, with breathtaking views of the ocean and an infinity-like pool, it was incredibly relaxing. We spent one of our last days there, where we enjoyed massages by the beach and time on some jet skis; it was an overall fun day.

Overall, I had the most fulfilling 4-day stay – and it’s safe to say that everyone did as well. From the outstanding 5-star customer service to the beautiful and breathtaking views and luxurious yet cozy environment, Casa Velas is the perfect relaxing getaway and is a must for those looking for a real treat!
