4 Tips To Take Your Camping Trip to the Next Level

admin

Going camping doesn’t always mean you have to rough it. A lot of people refer to this form as glamping, but there are different levels to it. All of it really depends on your standards and comfort. You want to plan for a trip that’s designed to fulfill all your needs, and it’s easier to do than you think. Here are five tips to take your camping trip to the next level.

Upgrade Your Location

It all starts with your location and housing. You can’t camp in style without having the proper shelter. Taking your trip to the next level means you need to think outside of the typical tent and sleeping bag options.

There’s always the option of sleeping on the ground with multiple sleeping bags and even a mattress pad, but that’s still not good enough. Consider a different domain. Geodesic domes are made for reasons just like this. They are more luxurious, and you can rent one and the space it’s located in for your trip.

Light It Up

Let’s face it—camping means you get to spend a night underneath the stars, but those stars are not nearly enough light. They need some assistance. Bring plenty of light for your trip. Don’t just limit yourself to a few lanterns. You deserve more than that—plus, there are so many options.

Dim lighting can really set the mood for any location and occasion. Bring lanterns, string lights, colored lanterns, and tiki torches. The tiki torches might help to keep some of those bugs away, and the colored lights make the trip more festive. The string lights provide long, bright, and energy-efficient mood lighting. Don’t limit your choices.

Be a Foodie

Being a foodie is one of the heights of luxury. For starters, you cater to your stomach and expose your appetite to some of the best cuisines around. However, when you’re camping, there aren’t a lot of restaurants close by.

Being a foodie while camping means making your own fantastic meals, but you still need to have the right utensils to accomplish this goal. Bring along your best cooking gear, so the meals come out to perfection. You’ll want to include the following:

  • A cast iron set
  • Cookstove
  • Dinnerware table set and utensils
  • Cooking utensils

And you need to bring a few groceries, too. And don’t forget about clean-up supplies like napkins, soap, and wet wipes!

Bring Entertainment

Finally, you’ll need a little entertainment. Sitting in peace and watching all the beauty nature has to offer is great, but there’s nothing wrong with bringing along your own devices. They don’t all need to be technological, either.

You might want to bring along a book or some portable exercise equipment. If you do go the route of devices, make sure you pack portable chargers and extra batteries, so you never run out of juice.

Once you take your camping trip to the next level, you’ll never be able to go back to the standard way again.
