3 Favorite Post-Workout Recipes with Naked Whey

Fancy Nanc-ista

Protein is incredible important – proteins are the main building blocks of the body. They’re used to make muscles, tendons, organs, and skin.

The DRI (Dietary Reference Intake) is 0.8 grams of protein per kilogram of body weight, or 0.36 grams per pound. For the average man that is 56 grams per day and for the average woman, 46 grams per day.
I am a busy person daily, and one of the hardest things for me is to have a consistent diet where I receive the right amount of protein intake each day – and to be honest, some days I eat a lot less than others, depending on my schedule. One of the things that definitely helps me stay on track is a protein shake. It’s definitely easy, quick and not to mention healthy to make and can bring it with me while I’m on the go.
People ask me all the time what my go-to protein powder is – while I have a few, I recently discovered a new favorite – Naked Whey.
Naked Whey is a grass fed whey protein that comes from dairy cows that have a 100% grass-ed diet. The milk from the cows is non-GMO, with no rBGH or rBST, and non-denatured. This whey protein is soy free, it’s also completely clean with no added sugars or hidden ingredients! It’s an overall win!
While you can easily combine this protein with water for a fast protein shake, I like to add it in my  smoothies as well. Today I will be sharing with you my top 3 favorite post-workout smoothies that you can easily make right at your home too:

Recipe #1:
a banana
1/2 cup of frozen or fresh strawberries and/or blueberries
1 cup coconut water
1 or 2 scoops of Naked Whey powder
kale or spinach optional

This is a simple yet soo good recipe! It’s light, it’s fruity and makes up for a perfect mid-day snack.

Recipe #2:
1 cup unsweetened almond milk
1/2 cup pineapple
1/2 of frozen mango
a handful of spinach and/or kale
1 tbsp flax meal
1 tbsp chia seeds
1 or 2 scoops of Naked Whey powder

If you don’t like your veggies – throw them in the blender. This is the perfect smoothie to get the right amount of veggies and fruit together.

Recipe #3:
1/2 cup old fashioned rolled oats
1 cup unsweetened almond milk
1/2 cup frozen berries or strawberries
1/2 cup greek yogurt
1 or 2 scoops of Naked Whey powder

Breakfast anyone? This berry smoothie is a great start to any kind of morning. With a combo of berries and oats – this smoothie ensures you still get the benefits and stay full all the way through to lunchtime.

What is your favorite smoothie recipe? While there are many different ways to make a smoothie – I’d love to hear yours!

Fancy Nancy
