The Rise Of Outdoor Luxury Travel

There was a time when luxury travel meant five-star hotels, room service, and private beach resorts, and although that’s still what a lot of people choose, there are other options and in recent years, outdoor luxury travel has become very popular indeed. It’s things like glamping under the stars, going on a private yacht, and essentially having some lovely adventures with luxury touches thrown in.

If you choose this option, you’re getting the best of both worlds – you get the freedom of the outdoors with the comfort and elegance of a luxury getaway, so do you want to know more? If so, keep reading about the rise of outdoor luxury travel – you might find it’s time to book something for yourself.

It’s Glamourous Nature

Camping can be fun, but no one’s ever said it’s luxurious and it’s not all that relaxing when you think about it. That’s why glamping (or glamourous camping) is so popular these days. We talked about having the best of both worlds earlier, and glamping is a fantastic example of exactly that.

You’ll wake up in a beautifully designed safari tent with a king size bed, fine linens, and even your own bathroom a lot of the time, and you’ll do that surrounded by mountains, forests, or meadows, depending on where you’ve chosen to stay. And the tent is just one idea – you can stay in so many different things, like yurts or luxury cabins, so it could be ideal.

Private Adventures

The problem with the standard getaways is that everyone else is there too, and if you want to avoid the crowds and go for something more exclusive and personalised, something along the lines of outdoor luxury travel makes sense.

You could opt for private helicopter tours, luxury safari lodges, personalised guided hikes, and much more. And if you prefer something on the water, that’s no problem either – you could stay on a luxury houseboat, go on luxury fishing excursions, or even rent an entire private yacht complete with crew. You never know, you might enjoy yourself so much you end up looking for Sylvan pontoon boats for sale so you can go on a water adventure whenever you want.

High End Dining

You might not think you’d be able to enjoy high end dining when you’re out in nature, but don’t forget – we’re talking about outdoor luxury travel here, with the emphasis on the word ‘luxury’. So of course you’ll get some excellent food at the same time as being in the great outdoors and pampering yourself a little (or, even better, a lot).
In a lot of places, gourmet meals are all part of the experience, so you might be able to hire a private chef, go wine tasting, or experience a farm-to-table meal where you see how it’s all done. These could be things you add on yourself, or they might be part of a package, but whatever it ends up being, you’re certainly not going to go hungry when you’re having an outdoor luxury travel adventure!
