Hotel Review – Spanish Garden Inn Hotel in Santa Barbara, California

admin

Happy Thursday, everyone! It has been a while since I’ve written up a travel blog post — and we all know why. Due to COVID, I haven’t been traveling much or if at all. My last big trip was to London in March (YIKES!). Luckily, travel is starting to resume now. And although international travel is out of the picture, it is only an opportunity to conquer local and domestic travel on my bucket list. One of which is a local favorite called Santa Barbara.

Santa Barbara is a 2-hour drive north from Los Angeles, which I can’t believe it took me this long to visit this beautiful and quaint town. Whether you enjoy hiking, fine-dining, water sports, chilling at the beach, culture, or wine tasting, Santa Barbara has something for you.

MY EXPERIENCE

One of my first mini getaways happened late last month. I had the pleasure of staying at the Spanish Garden Inn – a boutique hotel gem in Santa Barbara, California.

Though traveling might be reopening, it’s still important to keep in mind a pandemic is happening. One of my biggest impressions of this hotel was how well they implemented new COVID-19 safety measures throughout their hotel to ensure the safeness of their hotel guests and staff – which is very crucial in this current climate. Read here for more info.

The hotel itself is gorgeous. I loved how secluded it felt yet is only steps away from downtown Santa Barbara. The staff overall were very accommodating and helpful throughout our stay.

Room:

What’s fascinating about this hotel is they offer guests with only room suite options. You can choose one of five Junior Suites, or if you’re feeling fancy, you can stay in their Barcelona Suite.

We had the chance to experience both their Barcelona Suite and Junior Suite rooms. Both of them are luxury. But if you are looking for more space and a pool view, I’d book the Barcelona Suite.

The Suite Amenities include a private garden patio or private balcony, soaking tub, fireplace, 40″ Samsung HDTV, complimentary Wi-Fi, Molton Brown products, as well as general amenities.

Hotel Dining & Cocktails:

Courtyard Bar & Dining

An area that stood out to me the most is their Courtyard Bar and Dining. This area is hard to miss. The courtyard is a place to relax, dine, and enjoy the views.

Unwind at the end of the day with a signature cocktail, or local glass of wine or beer, without having to leave the comfort of your hotel.

Breakfast in Bed

One of my favorite perks of staying at this hotel is the complimentary breakfast delivered to your room or served in the courtyard daily. Ask about it at the front desk!

Spanish Garden Inn – Hotel in Santa Barbara, California offers guests with in-room dining as well.

Hotel Amenities:

Fitness Center

Guests have 24-hour access to the on-site fitness center.

Heated Pool

The pool area is also another place to rejuvenate and relax.

Bikes

Another cool perk about this hotel is you can rent bikes for a day. Ask the front desk for more info!

Nearby Spots:

Spanish Garden Inn – Hotel in Santa Barbara, California is located minutes away from downtown Santa Barbara. During my short stay I highly recommend the following.

Restaurants/Dining

Mizza – Pizza and Italian Cuisine
The Good Lion – Cocktails
Joe’s Cafe – Amazing Diner Food and Strong Cocktails

Wine Tasting

Jamie Slone
Area 5.1
Paradise Springs Winery

OVERALL RATING

Overall, I highly recommend this place for a peaceful, yet rejuvenating getaway! From the location, staff, and hotel itself is a definite 5 star. And to reiterate, I appreciate the new safety COVID measures they are taking to ensure the safeness of their guests and staff.

I will surely return! And if you plan to visit as well — I’m happy to offer a 10% OFF coupon valid now through September when you mention my name!
