Hotel Review – Prince Waikiki
After a few days of staying in the central hub of Waikiki, we switched hotels and moved closer to the Ala Wai harbor, which is still only a 10-20 minute drive from the Waikiki area. Our next destination was Prince Waikiki, an upscale high-rise resort. We stayed there for 4 nights, and it was amazing. I have stayed in this area before, and while I love the hustle and bustle of Waikiki, I like how this area is quieter and less crowded.
MY EXPERIENCE
As we pulled up to Prince Waikiki, you are immediately greeted and assisted by their bellhops. They were very kind and helpful throughout our stay. The hotel was just as expected, luxurious, swanky, and sophisticated. One of this hotel’s highlights is that they are directly facing the harbor, and all of their hotel rooms showcase ocean views.
At Prince Waikiki, I immediately felt safe, as they have implemented new COVID-19 guidelines throughout the hotel. At check-in, the employees provide an enhanced arrival experience while maintaining physical distancing. A complimentary welcome amenity is given to you, including a hand sanitizer and single-use disposable masks. Physical barriers have been implemented at the front desk and concierge. They also provide an in-room express check out service to provide an expedited and contactless departure experience. To learn more about Prince Waikiki’s new COVID-19 guidelines, click here.
**Like Hyatt Centric Waikiki Beach, you must have proof of a negative Nucleic Acid Amplification Test (NAAT) for COVID-19 on hand. They will ask you for it at check-in. To ensure a seamless check-in, make sure you print out your negative test results, as well as have your online uploads ready. Guests who arrive without a qualifying negative COVID-19 test must quarantine for 10 days. For more information about the Hawaiian requirements, click here.**
Room:
We stayed in their Standard Ocean Front room featuring 2 queen beds, 46” TV, separate shower, tub, private washlet, minifridge, and all standard amenities.
The room was very spacious for 2 people. The best part was the insane harbor and ocean views!

100 Sails Restaurant & Bar
Located on the 3rd floor is Prince Waikiki’s signature award-winning restaurant. Come here for breakfast, dinner, and happy hour, and enjoy the breathtaking front row seats to Hawaii’’s gorgeous oceanfront views.
We came here for both breakfast and dinner, and not only was the food delicious, but both our waiters were extremely accommodating and friendly. View more info here.
Katsumidori Sushi Tokyo
Katsumidori Sushi Tokyo opened its first location outside of Japan in the lobby of Prince Waikiki’s hotel. Although we did not get a chance to eat here (due to no reservations available), I heard only amazing reviews about it! I definitely want to check it out next time I’m in Hawaii. View more info here.
Hinana Bar | Muliwai Deck
Enjoy refreshing beverages and a select dining menu outside while taking in the gorgeous ocean views. Check out their full menu and info here.
Honolulu Coffee Company
Grab your coffee fix at Honolulu Coffee Company, located in the hotel lobby. I tried their matcha latte and loved it! They also offer a variety of pastries, cakes, desserts, and savory items.
