Allen Madrigal is a Product Designer. He currently lives in Canada but was born and raised in the Philippines. Allen grew up having a passion for art, as well as travel, photography, and fashion. He embraces the constant change in fashion and is always looking out for new trends. On his blog, he shares ideas that are related to fashion, food, travel, art, photography and sports.
1) What made you want to start your blog and how would you describe your style in 3 words?
I started with a Lookbook account and wanted to showcase more of my outfits. Lookbook is a great platform and all but us “Lookbookers” know that we can only have 3 angles/details in every post we share. Even then, people would still ask for more details about each outfit.
I felt that having a blog dedicated to fashion and style would be a proper platform for more photos and outfit details of my looks. I also needed a venue where I can feature brands sponsoring outfit and accessories I am given. Blogging has become a hobby and a pastime for me.
My style in 3 words: Modern, Practical and Trendy.
2) Who is your inspiration?
I always draw my inspirations from the streets – “people watching,” and the way they dress, especially when traveling. I also love going to the malls and observing window displays of different fashion brands. Fashion runway is also a great source of inspiration.
I always admire Nick Wooster. He’s like my fashion icon. I love his style and how he proves that fashion and style is ageless.
3) What’s the one wardrobe essential you can’t live without?
Blue jeans. Every man should own at least a pair.
4) What is your most favorite think about blogging?
Planning and creating a whole outfit. It’s not about having new outfits every time you post/blog, but about having a mixture of old and new stuff, and creating/expanding various new looks with it.
5) What is a quick fashion tip or advice for men?
Always update your looks/wardrobe. You can opt to be simple yet still look modern and current.
6) Do you have any favorite stores or brands?
Zara, Topman, H&M, and Forever21 men
