The Mayson Hotel Dublin Review: Is This Boutique Hotel Worth It?
If you’re looking for a stylish boutique hotel in Dublin that blends design, dining, and comfort, The Mayson might just be your perfect stay.

I visited Ireland last fall and spent 3 days exploring Dublin, wandering historic streets, meeting friends, and soaking in the city’s energy. During my stay, I checked into The Mayson Hotel Dublin, a design-forward boutique hotel located near the River Liffey in the Docklands district.
Here’s my honest review, including rooms, amenities, dining, and whether The Mayson Hotel is worth booking.
My Mayson Hotel Dublin Review

The Mayson is located in Dublin’s Docklands, a quieter and more modern neighborhood just outside the busy city center. It’s close enough to easily reach central Dublin attractions, but far enough to enjoy a more relaxed atmosphere.
If you prefer, a boutique hotel near the River Liffey, a calmer area outside Temple Bay, and modern surroundings with waterfront views.
Then this location is ideal. It felt like the perfect balance between convenience and tranquility.
Room Details
The room I stayed in was absolutely stunning.
One of the standout features? The river views. Waking up to soft natural light reflecting off the water made the experience feel elevated from the moment I arrived.

The interior design is bold and playful, I especially loved the pink accents throughout the room. It gave the space personality while still feeling sophisticated.
Other highlights:
- A beautifully designed bathroom with a relaxing bath
- Extremely comfortable bed (always a major plus for me)
- Thoughtful details throughout the space

For a boutique hotel in Dublin, the design truly stands out. It feels curated rather than generic.
Amenities & Dining
One of the biggest reasons I would stay here again? The food.
Ryleigh’s Rooftop Restaurant
Ryleigh’s Rooftop quickly became my go-to spot, especially for breakfast with a view.

Their pancakes and coffee were the perfect way to start the day, and the rooftop setting adds such a special atmosphere overlooking Dublin.
One evening, I had a proper Irish steak dinner here, and it was easily one of the best meals of my entire Dublin trip.

I ordered the Irish steak, tuna tartare, roasted vegetables, crème brûlée, and the sticky toffee pudding, and it was phenomenal. The quality was top-notch. The wine selection also pairs beautifully with the menu.
If you’re staying at The Mayson, I highly recommend booking dinner at Ryleigh’s at least once.
Elephant & Castle
For something more casual, Elephant & Castle is another great option on-site.

On my first night, I ordered room service, Caesar salad and fries, simple but absolutely delicious after a long travel day.
Having both elevated dining and casual options within the hotel makes it incredibly convenient.
POWER Gym

Another standout feature of The Mayson Hotel is the wellness offering.
The hotel includes access to:
- Boutique fitness space
- Group classes
- Pool
- Sauna
As someone who tries to stay active while traveling, this was a huge bonus. Not every boutique hotel in Dublin offers a proper gym with wellness facilities, so this definitely sets The Mayson apart.
