Bisma Eight Ubud Review: A Luxury Boutique Hotel Oasis in Bali

I’ve visited Bali a few times now and stayed in several areas across the island, but one place I always find myself drawn back to is Ubud. While it’s known more for jungle landscapes than ocean views, Ubud offers a peaceful, spiritual energy that I truly love, fewer crowds, more nature, and a slower pace that feels deeply grounding.

In this Bisma Eight Ubud review, I’m sharing my experience staying at one of Ubud’s most serene luxury boutique hotels. From thoughtful design and wellness-focused activities to exceptional service and dining, Bisma Eight felt like a true sanctuary in the heart of Bali.

My Bisma Eight Ubud Review

During my stay in Ubud, I had the opportunity to stay at Bisma Eight, a beautifully designed boutique hotel tucked just off Jalan Bisma. What immediately stood out was how private and tranquil the property felt, despite being only a short walk from central Ubud.

From the moment I arrived, the service was warm and attentive. The staff welcomed me, helped with my luggage, and personally escorted me to my room, making the entire check-in experience feel seamless and thoughtful.

Rooms & Suites

Bisma Eight Ubud offers a selection of carefully designed suites and villas that blend modern luxury with natural elements. I stayed in the Canopy Suite, and it was both spacious and incredibly comfortable.

The suite featured:

  • A private balcony overlooking lush greenery
  • A beautiful Japanese-style soaking tub
  • Thoughtful design details that made the space feel calm and inviting

It genuinely felt like a home away from home, a place where you could fully unwind after a day exploring Ubud.

Wellness, Activities & Amenities

One of the highlights of staying at Bisma Eight Ubud is access to complimentary daily activities, which add so much value to the stay. These include:

  • Yoga sessions
  • Balinese cooking classes
  • Balinese dance experiences
  • Sound healing sessions
  • Crafty mocktail workshops

During my stay, I participated in yoga, a Balinese cooking class, and a sound healing session. Each experience was thoughtfully curated and felt intimate, in fact, for yoga and sound healing, I was the only guest signed up that day, which made the experience feel almost private.

The hotel also features:

  • A beautiful infinity pool
  • On-site gym
  • Mandala Spa, where I booked a deeply relaxing massage (highly recommend)

Dining at Bisma

Bisma Eight offers several excellent dining options, all focused on high-quality, locally sourced ingredients.

+ Copper Kitchen, Bar & Rooftop

With sweeping rooftop views, Copper Kitchen serves dishes inspired by International-Asian cuisine using locally grown and ethically sourced produce. I enjoyed breakfast, lunch, and dinner here, everything tasted fresh, balanced, and thoughtfully prepared.

+ Mori Teppanyaki

Bismo Eight Ubud Bali Dining

Mori is an intimate 10-seat teppanyaki counter, offering a seasonal tasting menu experience. It’s refined, minimal, and deeply rooted in balance and seasonality, a special experience for food lovers.

+ Embers Mediterranean

Embers celebrates Mediterranean flavors using earth-to-table ingredients grown on the hotel’s organic farm and paired with locally sourced meat and seafood. The setting is relaxed yet elevated.

+ Afternoon Tea

Afternoon tea is served at the Pool Pavilion, offering local delicacies alongside serene pool and jungle views — a lovely mid-day pause.
