Motivational Mondays with the Training Mate
“Be Stronger Than Your Excuses.”
A few weeks ago, I had the opportunity to check out this high intensity interval training class in West Hollywood called Training Mate. Luke Milton, a former captain of the Australian rugby team moved to Los Angeles to open up this studio, which promotes a team mentality and teaches it’s students how to train like an athlete from an athlete.
If you’ve followed me in the past, you should already know I love trying new studios and classes. From barre to cycle to sproing to bootcamp; I have tried it all. One particular class I love to do and do often are HIIT classes, and when I heard about this class, I just had to try it!
How does this class work? Each class is 45 minutes. During the 45 minutes, there are 3 stations with 3 exercises. Each exercise you do for 45 seconds. The classes here are always different. The workouts range from ropes, to weights, spin bikes to rowing machines.
Would you recommend it? Yes!! I believe HIIT is a great way to break a sweat and burn more fat in a short period of time. I would say though, what made this class stick out the most is that the trainers and staff are both welcoming and hilarious! They make this hard, intense class more fun and entertaining, which will keep you smiling all class long! Who wouldn’t want that?
