Photos taken at Renaissance Chicago Downtown Hotel
With
miraculous city views, an overlook of the Chicago River and swanky, chic décor,
I have to admit, the Renaissance Chicago Downtown Hotel (located in the heart of Chicago’s loop),
is the perfect hotel to book when visiting or staycationing in Chicago.
I
have never stepped foot in here until just last week, and as I walked in I was
pleasantly surprised at how stunning and stylish this hotel looked. As soon as you walk into the door, you quickly notice that the hotel has a sophisticated modern charm, as it is decorated with eclectic and unique pieces (a wow factor); featuring an elegant bar downstairs, a rooftop lounge upstairs, an indoor pool, a spa and
a fitness center. This luxurious hotel is conveniently located adjacent to
State/Lake El station and steps away from the Chicago’s Theater District,
Millennium Park and upscale shopping and fine dining varieties on State Street.
My
room had one of the best Chicago views by far, as it overlooked the gorgeous Chicago
River, including astonishing architectural views of Trump Tower, Marina Towers, Tribune Tower and more! I could easily spend the whole day sitting on that window ledge in my room looking at that
view!
One
of the things I miss when I’m in LA is definitely Chicago’s architecture. I
mean the views of the mountains are great, but nothing compares to the city’s
skyline! I guess you can say I am definitely a City Girl at Heart <3.
The rooms were decorated with bold colored furniture and modern Chicago art pieces.
The room itself was considered a King standard, but was definitely a good size for two or three people. What I loved the most (besides the incredible city views) was the bathroom! It was nice and bright and super spacious, which is a definite must when you're a girl! :)
I
stayed at this hotel on New Year’s Eve; as their newest rooftop lounge/bar
called Raised (which opened this past May) was hosting a New Year’s Eve party. For
my outfit, I decided to go all out in red, with my favorite red dress paired
with my red hot gladiator boots.
Raised
bar, located on the 3rd floor of the Renaissance Hotel features
creative cocktails, delectable dishes and breathtaking views of the city.
Tickets
to the New Year’s Eve party were $75 which included food, open bar and a
champagne toast at midnight.
I
was fortunate enough to ring in the New Year with some of my favorite blogger
babes and friends!
As the music was playing and the drinks were flowing; it is safe to say we all had a wonderful time!
A little surprised treat from the Renaissance Hotel! :)))
From
the classy and striking ambiance, to the hospitable service and very extraordinary
memories, I absolutely enjoyed my stay! I would totally recommend this hotel
for those of you looking to book somewhere close to transportation,
shopping/dining, iconic tourist spots and just for the full Chicago experience.
Renaissance Chicago Downtown Hotel is located on 1 West Wacker Drive, Chicago, IL 60601
Book your stay here!
Thank
you to the Renaissance and Raised bar team for the astounding and welcoming
hospitality, and for hosting my stay! All opinions, as always, are my own.
Until next time,
Fancy Nancy
