Romper

Pink Blush Romper | Pink Blush Leather Jacket | The Limited Clutch (similar) |
Pink Blush Necklace (similar, similar)| Zara Strapped Heels (similar)

It's finally that time of the year to pull out our skirts, shorts, and rompers guys!  Ha, well honestly these are just plain lies... Chicagoans have been tricked!  As spring is almost over and summer is about to happen, we are still in the winter weather stage.  :::Sigh:::  Oh well, regardless of this weather, luckily this is a long sleeve romper-- so that makes it a-okay, right???  :-O

What I love about rompers and jumpsuits is that it's easy to wear and it serve almost as a "blank canvas," playing with various ways to wear it!

Today I paired my romper with a nice colorful statement necklace, a black clutch, white strapped heels and a black faux leather jacket in case I get cold.

How would you wear your romper?

Meet Carlo of Carlo V.D. Broeck

Manly Mondays are back, with a new weekly series, featuring my favorite Men Bloggers from all across the globe.  Each Monday, you’ll get the inside scoop on the different trends, tips, and of course the man behind his blog.   If you are interested in being featured in my Manly Monday’s series, please email me fancynancista@gmail.com. |

Carlo V.D. Broeck is a London based style curator fascinated by menswear and lifestyle.

1) What made you want to start your blog and how would you describe your style in 3 words?
I started posting photos on Instagram to get unbiased feedback on my outfits from people I didn't know. I posted once a day and eventually twice a day. This was a lot less than the actual photos we took. I thought it might be a cool idea to actually post more photos on the blog with a brief description of what I'm wearing or what was going through my head that day.

I think the 3 best words to describe my style are:
Dapper, Sprezzatura, and original (a representation of who I am and what I've been through)

2) Who is your fashion inspiration?
Nick Wooster convince me to start wearing colors I wouldn't have previously considered.

I am also inspired by Angel Ramos (Angel | Bespoke), Danilo Carnevale, Dan Trepanier (Articles of Style) and Gianni Fontana.

That said, almost everyone that attends Pitti Uomo brings something unique to the table.

3) What's the one wardrobe essential you can't live without?
Wool knitwear - perfect for layering under a blazer or on top of a polo shirt.

4) What is your most favorite thing about blogging?
Besides the love and support I get from everyone, I love talking to people and brands that are as passionate about menswear as I am.

5) What is a quick fashion tip or advice for men?
When purchasing new items, look at the composition of the material.
Choose natural fibers (wool, cotton, linen, etc) over synthetic fibers (polyester, acrylic, nylon, etc). Synthetic fibers are most of the time not as comfortable and can be harmful to the environment.
Personally I try to avoid items that contain polyester.

6) Do you have any favorite stores or brands?
I personally do not have a favorite store or brand. Regardless what store I am in, I first look at the quality and composition of the garment. If the item fits and it appeals ot me, I'll make the purchase regardless of what store I am in.

Carlo, I appreciate you participating in my Manly Monday's series!  You have quite a dapper and original style!  What do you guys think?  If you want more of Carlo's style, make sure you check out his website here, follow him on Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook

Think Pink.

Happy Wednesday all!  Recently I was contacted by a shop called Pink Blush where I had a chance to preview their spring collection and choose some outfits to review on their site.  Upon arriving on the site, I honestly wasn't sure if this clothing was really my style, until I kept browsing and found stuff I finally liked.  Pink Blush initially was a clothing line for just maternity women but have extended their line to all types of women.  This site sells chic and affordable wardrobe for every season!

Pink Blush Top | Forever 21 Pant (similiar) | Shoemint Classic Pump (s/o) |
(15% off discount when you use 'FANCYNANCISTA15' at checkout!)
Keep reading for details on my giveaway!!

I styled my first look very springy!  When choosing this pink crochet top, it was definitely a risk.  These shirts are not to be fitted, and usually loose-fitted shirts make me look bigger, but when I tried it on I fell right in love!  Since the top is already loose, and the sleeves are bell sleeved, it's best to pair this top with a fitted pant, shorts, or skirt.

For my look today, I wore my white cropped pant, and a pointy pump to give off a classier vibe.  The jewelry is also from Pink Blush, which were perfect to complete my springy look.

Easter Sunday

Can you believe that it's half way through April and Easter is over already?  It's crazy how time flies; it feels like it was just yesterday that Lent started.  Looking back at my Lent post in February, that was almost 2 months ago, where did time go?  Those of you who gave up something for Lent, did you make it through, or did you fail like I did?  Sadly, I tried to give up sweets but it definitely did not last too long, anyways...  This Easter my family and I attended morning church and then headed over to brunch at Pinstripes.

Those of you who are unfamiliar with Pinstripes.. Pinstripes is a venue that offers a combination of dining and entertainment, such as bowling and bocce.  Just recently they opened up a Chicago location in the Streeterville area, located at 433 E Illinois.

I have had brunch here before for Mother's Day at their other location in Northbrook, but when I heard they opened one right down the street from me, I had to check it out!

Brunch at Pinstripes is amazing!  There were long tables of food such as parfaits, pizza, pasta, salad, fish, and many more to choose from, with also stations that offered omelettes, different meats, and waffles.  I was in food heaven!

Of course out of the whole thing, my favorite table would be the dessert table.  Do you see now why I could not give these treats up?  And can't forget the chocolate fondue fountain!  Chocolate heaven for sure :-)!

Overall, I had a delicious time.  My family and I were satisfied at the end.  This venue is awesome!  And is a place to definitely check out if you have not been!  I mean who can say no to a place that has food and games?  If you're not in the city, Pinstripes is also located in Northbrook, Oakbrook, and Barrington!

How did you and your family celebrate Easter?  Hope you all had a wonderful Easter!

Manly Mondays: Meet Allen of ALLENation

Allen of ALLENation

Manly Mondays are back, with a new weekly series, featuring my favorite Men Bloggers from all across the globe.  Each Monday, you’ll get the inside scoop on the different trends, tips, and of course the man behind his blog.   If you are interested in being featured in my Manly Monday’s series, please email me fancynancista@gmail.com. |

Allen Madrigal is a Product Designer.  He currently lives in Canada but was born and raised in the Philippines.  Allen grew up having a passion for art, as well as travel, photography, and fashion.  He embraces the constant change in fashion and is always looking out for new trends.  On his blog, he shares ideas that are related to fashion, food, travel, art, photography and sports.

1) What made you want to start your blog and how would you describe your style in 3 words?
I started with a Lookbook account and wanted to showcase more of my outfits.  Lookbook is a great platform and all but us "Lookbookers" know that we can only have 3 angles/details in every post we share.  Even then, people would still ask for more details about each outfit.

I felt that having a blog dedicated to fashion and style would be a proper platform for more photos and outfit details of my looks.  I also needed a venue where I can feature brands sponsoring outfit and accessories I am given.  Blogging has become a hobby and a pastime for me.

My style in 3 words: Modern, Practical and Trendy.

2) Who is your inspiration?
I always draw my inspirations from the streets - "people watching," and the way they dress, especially when traveling.  I also love going to the malls and observing window displays of different fashion brands.  Fashion runway is also a great source of inspiration.

I always admire Nick Wooster.  He's like my fashion icon.  I love his style and how he proves that fashion and style is ageless.

3) What's the one wardrobe essential you can't live without?
Blue jeans.  Every man should own at least a pair.

4) What is your most favorite think about blogging?
Planning and creating a whole outfit.  It's not about having new outfits every time you post/blog, but about having a mixture of old and new stuff, and creating/expanding various new looks with it.

5) What is a quick fashion tip or advice for men?
Always update your looks/wardrobe.  You can opt to be simple yet still look modern and current.

6) Do you have any favorite stores or brands?
Zara, Topman, H&M, and Forever21 men

Love your look Allen and thank you so much for participating in Manly Mondays!  What do you all think?  Loving Allen's look?  Well make sure you check it out here, and follow him on Tumbler, Facebook, and Instagram!
